Kennebunkport is an astoundingly picturesque town in York County, Maine, United States. Kennebunkport and Lower Village of Kennebunk are nestled between the Kennebunk River and the ocean--"the port" being on the east side of the river and Lower Village on the west. On both sides of the river, waterfront buildings steeped in history are the home of fine gift shops, clothing and jewelry boutiques, art galleries and some of the finest restaurants on the Maine Coast. The town is regarded as one of the most romantic vacation areas in the Northeast.

Historically a shipbuilding and fishing village, for well over a century the town has been a popular seaside tourist destination. There are lovely seaside estates along Ocean Avenue and other coastal roads. The famous "Bush Compound" is located on Walker's Point, a peninsula visible from Ocean Avenue. Summer time is for beaches, water sports and sightseeing. During the fall, Kennebunkport displays her famous New England fall colors.
